"The original name of the territory, Putucceri, is derived from the Tamil words putu “new" and ceri “village". The French corrupted this to Pondichéry. Or Pondicherry in English. "

"So much! Take a wander to Chemin de la Corniche - known as Europe's most beautiful balcony for unparalleled views of the medieval old town."

Can you visit Luxembourg on a budget?

"Absolutely! Despite being one of the richest countries, it is surprisingly affordable. Public transport is free, as well as many attractions and there are lots of street food vendors!"

"There are lots of markets but my best ones were at the Rathaus, Museum Quarter and at Schönbrunn Palace! But definitely try and see as many as possible!"

"Aside from the markets, Vienna is full of history, incredible museums, opera and palaces to explore! Head to Cafe Sacher (early) to try the original Sachertorte... it's a must."

"Vienna is very cold at Christmas, so pack layers. I found layering was perfect due to being warm inside! Bring a waterproof coat, gloves and good walking boots!"

"Each market will sell Glühwein in a unique mug specific to that market which you can buy! I have a lovely collection of ones from each market!"
